An Amusing Conversation
I just had a conversation with my nine year old neighbor, Esther, who saw me running this morning.
Esther: Tomorrow I will show you running.
Me: Tomorrow, you will take me running?
Esther: Yes, I will show you running.
Me: Will you run with me?
Esther: No, I will show you running…
Me: You will teach me to run?
Esther: What?
Me: You will show me where to run?
Esther: Yes, tomorrow morning.
Me: Is it far?
Esther: No, not far.
Me: Ok, what time tomorrow morning?
Esther: 6:30.
Me: Ok, 6:30 tomorrow morning I will meet you right here. Ok?
Esther: Yes.
The conversation continued for a while, then she said:
Esther: I have to go now. I have to wash my shorts.
Me: Well, tomorrow morning I will meet you right here.
Esther: Why?
Me: You going to show me where to run.
Esther: I am?
Me: Yes!
Esther: Its too far.
Me: But you said we were going running in the morning?
Esther: When?
Me: At 6:30.
Esther: I go to school at 6:30.
By the way, have you read Andy Camann’s recent blog post about faith? Its good.
